Tour Overview

Discover the magic of Tanzania with our 4 Days Tanzania Family Safari, crafted to immerse you in the splendor of the country’s celebrated national parks. Embark on an adventure to the legendary Serengeti, where wildlife abounds and breathtaking landscapes enchant visitors all year round.

In addition to the Serengeti, explore two other cherished Tanzanian parks: the Ngorongoro Crater, famed for its sightings of the Big Five, and Tarangire, where elephant families congregate along the Tarangire River throughout the year. These three parks form the perfect itinerary for a brief yet enriching safari experience.

Please note, due to its remote location and the travel time involved, the Serengeti is not included in itineraries shorter than four days.

Join us on this unforgettable family journey and create cherished memories amidst Tanzania’s stunning wilderness.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be met by our guide/driver for a short briefing before heading into Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is characterized by low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation primarily consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with extensive swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps attract wildlife, especially during Tanzania’s dry season.

Tarangire National Park is renowned for its large elephant herds, among the largest in Africa. The park is also home to three rare species: the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings.

We will enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing our game drive until late evening, after which we will drive to your accommodation for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire NP – Central Serengeti

After breakfast, we head towards Serengeti National Park, traveling through the scenic high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – where endless plains stretch as far as the eye can see.

Our destination is the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. This region features the Seronera River, a vital water source that attracts a diverse array of wildlife, representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.

We arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

Day 3: Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today if you were interested by Hot Air Balloon tour over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement) is the best day and time to start a day with. Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages.

If not interested with hot balloon, you will work up early in morning for sunrise game drive. Then return at your accommodation area for breakfast and afterward we continue with game drive until lunch time. After lunch we head to Ngorongoro for overnight. On the way we can experience the Maasai traditional life and experience a little bit of these cultural people lives in the Ngorongoro conservations.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Moshi

After an early breakfast, we will descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari tour. Supported by a year-round water supply and lush fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park sustains a vast variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants.

A major highlight of this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which often requires a trained eye to spot.

We will also visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater, which is one of the main features of the area. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds are typically seen here.

After lunch, we will begin our ascent from the crater and return to Moshi or Arusha, or alternatively, to Kilimanjaro Airport.
